Trust & data
We got the call when the booking system fell over
We ran IT support for local businesses, and we got the call whenever a booking system let one of them down. We kept seeing the same problems: systems built for the software company rather than the business, and fees that grew when the business did. So we built BookMyVenue around what those businesses needed, and put the important promises where nobody can switch them off. Below are six promises about your data and your money, and how we check each one.
Built in, not left to your staff to remember
None of the promises below is a setting someone could switch off or forget. They hold on every screen and for every staff member, whichever way the booking arrives. Each one carries an automated test whose job is to catch us if it ever stops holding.
Your data is yours, and you can take it with you
Your client list and your reports export to CSV any time. On the way in, we can read a Fresha export. There is no lock-in and no exit fee. If you decide to leave, you download a file and go. We charge one published monthly price and we never take a percentage of your sales.
What we don't claim yet
- In progress
Connecting BookMyVenue to your other software
The groundwork is built and locked down. We have not switched it on for outside software yet, so don't plan a link to another system around it today.
- Not built yet
Filing your team's pay
We work out what you owe each person from the hours they actually clocked. We don't lodge it and we don't move the money.
- Not built yet
Booking a whole run of future visits in one go
You book visits one at a time today. Setting up a repeating series in a single step is not built yet.

Marketing to your customer list
We send confirmations and reminders. We don't run campaigns, and nothing markets to your customers without their say-so.

Taking a card at the counter
Cash works end to end on the register today. Taking a card at the counter is not live yet.
We keep this list current. You can’t plan your week around a system that only tells you the good parts.
