An OpenTable alternative with a published monthly price
OpenTable Australia does not publish a current monthly plan price on its plans pages. That absence is the story, set next to what they do publish about network cover fees, a one-year auto-renewing contract, and 30 days' notice to cancel.

OpenTable’s Australian site offers Core and Pro. The pages titled around pricing and plans show feature columns and FAQs, and no plan monthly price. We scanned those pages for a figure and found none. We will not fill that gap with a third-party US list price, and we are not printing an expired 2023 promo figure either.

Network cover fees: they say which covers, not how much
OpenTable AU states that cover fees apply only when diners discover the restaurant on OpenTable’s website, app or affiliate network. Own-website, phone and walk-in covers are free. You pay for seated diners only, not cancellations or no-shows. What they do not publish on those AU pages is the dollar rate per cover. We print that absence rather than invent a number.
Charged on network-originated covers
"On OpenTable's Core and Pro plans, OpenTable only charges cover fees for diners that discover your restaurant on OpenTable's website, app or through our affiliate network. If a diner books directly through your website or by calling the restaurant, we don't take a cent." The dollar rate is not published on AU pages.

OpenTable markets access to a diner network and discovery across partner sites. That is a real value for venues that want marketplace demand. It is also why network covers carry a fee. BookMyVenue has no marketplace; the booking widget sits on your own website under your name.

Own-website, phone and walk-in covers are free on their stated model, so the fee lands on network-sourced diners. POS integration is included at no additional cost on their Core FAQ, and the hardware answer is an iPad. BookMyVenue will not pretend to be a consumer discovery network. We are the diary and till on your own site, with a price you can read before the sales call.
