Why we're building it
It started with one appointment.
Not long ago I tried to book an appointment with a local business. Nothing exotic: pick a time, leave a name, turn up. Their booking system had other plans.
It wanted me to download its app first. Then create an account. Then verify my email, choose a password, allow notifications, and scroll past offers for things I didn't want, inside an app I was going to open exactly once. Somewhere around the verification code I gave up and rang the shop instead, and a human took the booking in about fifteen seconds with a pen.
Here's the thing: that system wasn't built for me, and it wasn't built for the business either. It was built for the software company. Their app on my phone. Their brand between the business and its own customer. Their database growing by one more profile. The business pays real money every month for the privilege, and the customer pays too, in the only currency that matters: the moment where wanting to book quietly turns into not bothering.
Every venue owner we've told this story to has laughed, and then said some version of the same thing: you should see what it looks like from our side. So we started building the system we kept wishing existed. Booking that feels like nothing for the guest, and runs like clockwork for the venue.

The whole product comes from one measure: the distance between wanting to book and being booked should be a few seconds, on the phone already in your hand, with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
Nothing for guests to install
A link that opens in the browser they already have. Pick a time, leave a name, done. No app store, no account, no password for a thing most people do a few times a year.
Your name on the door
Guests book with you, not with us. Your brand out front, your guest list staying yours, your rules on deposits and no-shows. Software belongs behind the bar, not standing between you and your customer.
Simple for the venue
Set your hours and your tables or your services, and let it run. If a screen needs a training day, we've built the wrong screen. The system should fit the way your week already works.
